I've had extreme dry mouth and dry eyes before, so that is not new, but what's happening now is truly bizarro. Need to know if anyone else can relate.
At night, my entire mouth gets completely dry and my tongue and sides if my mouth sticks to my teeth.
During the day, the dryness comes in waves. I notice it especially after eating a meal or brushing my teeth. I can feel it happening. Feels like something instantly suctions all the moisture out of my tongue and then the sides of my mouth.
At first, it seemed to be all over my mouth, but the last couple of days, it seems concentrated on the left side - left side of my tongue, left cheek.
I also had my amalgams replaced on the left side 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I already had dry mouth before that, but this bizarre phenomenon started some days after amalgam replacement.
I had compatibility testing done prior to amalgan replacement, but I'm not confident in the accuracy. The results listed several substances as least reactive that I'd had a positive allergy patch test result on some years back. I told the dentist beforehand about that, but it definitely leaves me doubting the accuracy of the compatibility test results.
Has anyone else had such bizarre type of dry mouth?
Anyone develop something like this after amalgam replacement?
