Can you take Tindamax with rifampin/mino

Forgot to pose this question to my LLMD last time. Is Tindamax something that is prescribed with the Mino/rif combo for Bart? The drug to drug interaction checker says minitoring by MD necessary due to interaction due to rifampin may reduce the effectiveness of the Tindamax. I’ve heard some mention on here about concerns of cyst formation (though also I’ve heard Rif is a cyst buster) and wanted to know if requesting it would be beneficial.

I did plug them into the drug interraction checker I use and it showed the same: Rifampin may reduce effectiveness of Tinidazole.

Rifampin has a fairly short half-life - something like 4 hours.

what if you were to take your Rifampin around 7:00 a.m. and tinidazole at 11:30

And your evening dose of Rifampin at 6:00 p.m. and tinidazole at 10:30 p.m.

At least the Rifampin is down to half in your system....

Do you take your Rifampin on a pulsed protocol? If so, then you could take the tinidazole on the days off.

I also wanted to mention that one LLMD MR does report that Rifampin acts as a lyme cyst buster.....
