Lyme Disease Test

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and don't even know if I actually have Lyme Disease.

My question for anyone out there in the Phoenix Area. Is there any place in the area that I can get a thorough accurate Lyme Disease test without costing my 2 months of Income?

I am seeing some of these clinics saying it will cost as much as $6,000 just to determine if you actually have the disease. And of course, these clinics say if you go elsewhere, you will most likely get a false reading.

Any input would be amazing.

What clinics are you referring to? That sounds very suspicious.

If you have health insurance that covers Labcorp, ask your doctor to order a Lyme western blot with all bands showing (do not do ELISA).

Ken, my llmd theory is and I totally agree that Elisa is crap, Western blot is the test and any bands at all you have borrrelia in you period, who know what co infections but guess what doxy kills all of borellia and so do many other meds and herbs, so lab Corp or quest if you can get it with insurance do it. Then if any bands are positive start something to kill the borrelia and use borrelioses not lyme and you will get drs to listen longer. But any bands get to a dr ASAP. My llmd that’s any bands as positive for borreliosis and said doing this 97 percent feel better with antibiotics so there is something to it. But he also said it is a clinical diagnosis and has lots of questions to answer which gives that diagnoses and he said you really do not need a wb test if you fill the form out he can diagnose you from it. He has treated 12k people with borreliosis and has a 93 success rate.

Really? Who is this Dr.? Is he a well-known one claiming a 93% success rate?

I guess it's in how they define success:

Is someone who feels 50% better considered a success?

Is someone who feels 90% better after a month or two?

Is someone who has gotten rid of all their symptoms for 6 months or more?

It really depends on how high the bar is.
