Hey guys, I found a couple of spots today that look kind of yellow (like bruises, really). There are 3 of them, two on my right leg and one on my left. I'm not an expert of Jaundice or liver disease, but I know those two things can be related. I'm not entirely sure how long the spots have been there, they're pretty faint and not in an easily visible part of my body. I have a feeling that at least one of them has been there for a long time.
Should I do anything about this? I've actually been on a break from most of my antibiotics, apart from minocycline (which I'm not currently taking), for a few weeks now. My last test showed liver and kidney enzymes were in the normal range as well. I have my next appointment with my LLMD on Monday, but is this something worth going to an urgent care doctor about? I have a feeling they would tell me to not worry about it, and go see a dermatologist if they get worse. Does anyone have experience with bruise-like yellowing of the skin in small areas on different parts of the body? Could it be related to antibiotic use, and, if so, would stopping the antibiotics for a long time be the best course of action? My doctor and I will be discussing the next steps in treatment Monday, so I would like to be armed with the best info I can be.
As an aside, the reason I stopped taking my antibiotics was because they were starting to cause severe stomach pain and gas. This went away pretty quickly after I stopped them. Could this be related?
Thanks a lot for the input.
