The protocols look pretty good, but if she's plateaued it's important to rotate the protocol and mix it up. It sounds like this a challenge with this doctor. Just because someone is a part of ILADS doesn't mean they are quality unfortunately. And I do think it's important to have a good working relationship with the doctor and
open lines of communication, especially with these type of diseases which require a lot of careful micromanagement and trial and error.
I guess the thing is, if you have other llmd options in the area or are able to travel to see one with a good reputation then it might be worth exploring that. If the options are lacking, might want to consider sticking with this one (although I consider their mode of practice unacceptable in regards to communication). Another option is looking at self-treatment with some of the herbal protocols. Imo an ideal option would be seeing Dr SP in CT, generally starts treatments conservatively and carefully. Very knowledgable.
It's true though that keeping up with the protocols for these diseases can get daunting, but if you have a good, responsive doctor you are vibing with they can work with you on that to simplify. It's their job, they should be clever enough to figure something out!
IV abx... hmm, personally I think if one is going abx route generally good to exhaust the oral abx option, if you end up getting severe gut issues then turning to iv might be worth considering. IV carries its own risks as well, but yes it can be effective.
