Treatment for Daughter

I am going to order an Igenex test for my daughter. If she comes back positive, I am at a real crossroads on how she should be treated. I will obviously take her to an LLMD. But, she is so young that I hate to put her on a heavy antibiotic regimen and wreck her stomach. If she has it, it has been a little over 2 years since her initial infection. So, it is definitely chronic. Not sure what to do here. She is 9 years old.

my daughter is also 9 and has been infected i'd say about 4 years. she's been getting weird symptoms over the past 6 months so we had her see the pediatrician at Dr. J's office.

she's been doing a stabilization/immune boosting protocol. it does seem to be helping. we're supposed to start her on her abx protocol in a few weeks. i'm very wary of doing this because once you unleash the hounds they don't go back into the cage.

from what i understand generally kids have a stronger immune system and less "junk" due to their age causing the immune system to work too hard.

still its a tough call knowing that we've heard stories of other kids who had "tolerable" symptoms then went on meds and pow they get all messed up for sometimes quite a while.

pray tell why are you relying on a blood test to see if she's positive? can you base it on whatever symptoms she has?

There has been a few people here with with children about your daughter's age who were healed of Lyme.

We also had a mother of a 4 year old who was so bad he was having Lyme seizures. He got better soon after starting him on Amoxicillin, which is very gentle on children. Once he got better she put him on herbs and I guess he healed because she hasn't been back.

Maybe Girlie or Opugirl can remember their names?

The one I remember is rowingmom. Her daughter Katie healed. She did antibiotics first (was it a year...or two?) and I think got to about 80%...then switched to Buhner herbs.

I can't remember how old Katie was...I'm thinking Katie was older than 4 though?

Lauricidin and allimax garlic I recommend after at least one round of amox, both are super safe and saved my life, I firmly believe, went to llmd and got a protocol and yet to start it because this is amazing stuf that truly works. Thin the blood with fish oil and baby aspirin and it helps too the bugs like blood thick not thin. Careful with the young ones and aspirin it can cause Reye’s syndrome so I think vit k is a thinner too
