dry mouth and thirst

This was my first indication that something may be wrong with me. I would wake up at night, usually a few times a night, with a dry mouth, dry lips, extreme thirst, and needing to pee. I saw on another thread a couple other people that have these symptoms. Is this lyme or is it a co-infection? Do you notice this symptom gets worse when you herx?

Same here. At least it is back. Only difference is I pee all the time again. Had this a couple of times. It took a while, but it went away with treatment last year. Trying to figure out whey it has come back.

But at least you know others do. Waalkingby Faith may be right - bartonella. Just tested positive for it, also. Never know. Hang in there.

Interesting subject. I noticed that when I take Doxy or Mino that I have to get up two or three times at night to pee. And when I do, it is in small quantities, so it is not like I have gallons of fluid in me. It is almost as if my bladder becomes sensitive and any fluid in it makes it want to go. Another thing that I noticed is that the stream pulses instead of being a steady stream. TMI, right? Sorry

When I stop the tetracyclines, I sleep through the night without having to get up. And when I pee in the morning is like Niagara falls! I am even surprised that my bladder can hold that much.

But here is the thing....right now I am only on herbs, which include bart-killing herbs, and guess what? yup, I have been getting up at night. So maybe is not the abx but what the abx is targeting. So weird.

Oh, I forgot, and yes, dry mouth and thirst. I drink about 5-6 water bottles a day.

I have this too. Bartonella likes the kidneys I think. Maybe the bladder too?
It could be pretty much any coinfection that causes this.

It might also have to do with the body trying to constantly flush out all these toxins as well as all these different intruding organisms.

The constant urination especially at night definitely exacerbates the insomnia.

Drink lots of water during the day and don't drink too much fluid at night a couple of hours before bed time.

This dehydration symptom has been plaguing me for years now. Nothing really seems to help.
I do drink the occasional cranberry juice.

You guys could try some goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea)

Yes

excess thirst and dry mouth.

Its difficult to go anywhere without water and need to have several steel refillable containers in My vehical at all times.

At night i wake up with dry mouth several times and keep a glass of water next to my bed.

My kidneys hurt very badly especially in the mornings. A shot of Apple cider vinegar in water 1-2x per day seems to help with the kidney pains.
