Important information about childs and fql.

It's an epidemic.... a young boy from my city has dead from a course of levaquin. His muscles has been destroyed in les than 48h (rabdomyolisis)... Doctors couldn't do anything except give him a poisining.

I was floxed las week, thinking that side effects were rare and it wouldn't touch me... I was adviced by a frien who his mum was floxed but i didn't want to believe him and people from internet...

Don't believe that if you experience pannik attacks from fql it's bart dying because probably it's not.... I have severe insomnia, suicide thoughts, tendinitis, dry eye and i think that things will be worse... It's not a solution to treat bart, but it's to kill yourself.

I agree with some doctors, you can take one course, two or three without problems, but in one time you'll be poisoning.

I can't forgive me because i could stop it at one pill and i wanted to continue, thinking that i would cured from bart and now maybe i'll die from that or dissabillity.

Friday if i'm alive (it's not a joke... If it continues like now i'm ser myself in a box in some weeks...) i'll has ultrasound of my tendons, and my blood vessels, to check aorta.

I really think that it was not your fault that you are feeling so bad. It's really easy with treating Lyme to do something to make things worse by accident.

I was also in a bad place from taking the wrong drugs (it was my own fault for not making better decisions), I kept going on it because I thought it would cure me (it didn't) I was probably very close to dying from it. But I did get better (in spite of doctors making things worse). I'm sure you can get better too.

I don't know if this is true, but I heard that sometimes when you are having anxiety it's from all the toxins the bacteria produce, and not the actual bacteria getting worse. I wouldn't assume anything about your tendon damage being permanent; I think you might be wrong. Is there anything you can do to detoxify? I've heard some people get vitamin c or glutothione IVs. Maybe you need to do something to reduce the inflammation.

please try some ivs b4 calling it quits ...i had mild sjs and while excruciating i have a life ...

How are you feeling today OriolCarol? I'm glad to hear you are getting the ultrasound, I hope getting that information will be helpful and hopefully reduce anxiety in that regard.

I was also wondering, have you ever had tendon pain before taking the quinolones?

I also wonder about NoTime4lyme's comment. I tend to think it is a common occurrence. I mentioned this before, but I talked to Dr SP from CT (well-regarded LLMD) and he said that he suspected many people who had adverse reactions to the quinolones were basically having nuclear-level herx responses. I do still think floxing is a legitimate thing and concern, but I also think there are quite a few people who really rile up the underlying infections when they take a quinolone. "Stirring the pot" as Dr SP says. I myself had a nuclear level herx response to just one 1/8th of a dose of levaquin. It took me a week+ to recover baseline.

It's a long story . . .I wasn't taking quinolones. I never got that far, and by the time I did consider taking them, I was going to an LLMD who didn't use them because of all the side effects. So at least I was spared a floxing reaction.

What I was saying is that probably everyone makes decisions that they wish they hadn't, in the course of their Lyme treatment. But I don't doubt that flouroquinolones can give you a huge herx.

Tendon ultrasound doesn't reveal anything abnormal. No tear, swelling etc.... Only pain.
