Hey,

I know there are countless threads on here around all the various detox methods out there; but I'm wondering what method is you guys' go-to? Which method gives you the best results? I'm sure it's case-by-case but I'm really interested to know.

The other half did her first infrared sauna at the weekend and felt pretty good the next day, but too early to tell its true effectiveness.

I actually was about to post something similar but I'm very curious about infrared saunas for detox... how often do you guys do them? For how long? And do you notice the effects right away or like the next day such as mentioned above? Which herx symptoms should this help with? Are there any risks to this?

I myself am religiously following a detox regimen of oral liposomal glutathione, lemon water in the mornings, epsom salt baths/footbaths, alka seltzer gold twice a day, and milk thistle extract.

my favorite is epsom salt baths...I get pain relief from them...for an hour or two...sometimes longer.

Detoxing

Sauna, cold showers, wash cloth, Epsom salt bath with tea tree oil. Psyllium and bentonite clay shakes, bowel cleanse, apple cider vinegar. Low glycemic green juice. Walking, yoga.

1000Daisies - most detoxing doesn't provide me with relief. I'm not sure that the epsom salt baths are helping because of detox...or if it's just the warm water combined with the magnesium that soothes my pain.

It happens very quickly....so not really a lot of time to flush out the toxins and provide relief.

But, I'll take the relief....

Oh another one is exercise....after I feel better...again..is it toxin flushing? or just getting the blood moving better...etc.

The day after an IR sauna or epsom salt bath i usually feel like i got hit by a truck if i haven't sufficiently rehydrated. Also, once i go to sleep after doing either one of these I'll spend the night having some of the most intense, bone crushing nightmares imaginable. Chock full of anxiety, too.

Thise things tell me it must be doing something but unfortunately over the years the effects of these haven't been cumulative

Thanks all for your replies. The wife is only 3 weeks into her protocol. She experienced herxing while doing a cleanse a few years ago to address candidiasis, but never detoxed the way it me should if addressing Lyme. So, I didn't know that generally, detoxing doesn't provide much apparent, instant relief.

xpeetxax - I'll respond properly on your IR thread; but in short, she's only done the two IR saunas so far. The day after the first one she felt the best she's felt so far, but I fear that were purely coincidence. We're very fortunate that we have somebody local who runs a Pilates studio who happens to have an IR sauna who charges us only £10 ($13) for the two of us to use..!

Mind body spirit - you mention bowel cleanse. I suspect there will be threads on this already and I will hunt; but I've been wondering about these. I'm right in thinking these are the same as colon cleanses/enemas, aren't I? If so, I've read risks around doing them. Is this more of a caution and recommendation to perform with a professional? Also, what's an ozone water machine??

Liposomal glutathione too. She's not currently taking it but read plenty of stuff on the supplement. Currently taking milk thistle and having cooked liver once a week as a source, but I'm assuming this isn't enough compared to taking a LG supplement?

Lipo glutithione and buffered cassava vitamin c help alliviate herxes quik ..
My fav detox is a bentonite acv hot bath it moves some stuff fast!
Baking soda colonics helped my candida fast btw
