babesia testing

today I got some bloodwork done for various things (trying to figure out why I feel so bad!). I am seeing a new ND, and I will see a different LLND this week later on so this one is not super lyme literate but she is helping me try to figure things out. The one I will see later is more lyme ilterate but less good in other things.
So the one today had me test for babesia but it is not the igenex test, it was whatever the basic one that insurance covers. I don't have the results yet.
But then I was just reading that the babesia test can only test accurately at the onset of exposure? my tick bite was 5 years ago , so is this babesia test worthless then?
If I really want to know do I need to do one of the igenex tests?

Besides testing a good Lyme literate MD or natropath can diagnose by the symptoms you are having.
