These are some of the symptoms listed in Dr. S' book which helped to confirm my infection.

Swelling that looks like edema but does not leave a dent when pressed. This can be around the ankles or feet, in the hands or other places in the body. When it is really bad the person appears obese.
There can also be a thickening of the skin anywhere including the face.

Changes in skin such as pea size brown spots resembling "age spots" and/or loss of pigment with no color - very white.

Crusty moles, skin tags, papules, small round white lumps under skin, tiny red "blood blisters" usually on the torso

Nodules under the skin that you do not notice until you press them and then they hurt. They are often on the outer thighs.

Lumps along the shin bone. Pain in shins

Indentations in the skin where the bacteria seem to have pretty much eaten away the flesh underneath. These will not go away with treatment.

Unusual markings on the skin which resemble "stacked clams" or chicken wire.

Broken veins, spider veins and unexplained bruises.

Psychological changes: more irritation, outbursts of rage, anxiety. Feeling of being disconnected, depersonalization. Lack of motivation. When severe, people have been committed.

Frontal headaches

Feeling that you have a UTI but not testing positive for an infection.
You need to urinate frequently and may even have pain in the bladder.

Hot flashes that may come with a sticky sweat.

Cramps, muscle pain, muscle twitching

Dry irritated eyes

What appears to be stretch marks that are red or purple. They do not follow the normal contours or are in the normal places where stretch marks would be.

That is all I can think of but as I did not have the classic symptoms such as painful feet and streaks, this was very helpful to confirm that I really did have bart.
