Hi and welcome to our forum,
If you have a bulls eye rash you have Lyme.
You also have had a bite and have symptoms.
The recommended dose is 400 mg a day, taking 200 mg in a.m and the 200 mg in p.m.
You can go to ilads.org for treatment guidelines.
Early antibiotics is your best chance at stopping the Lyme bacteria from taking hold and becoming chronic.
Make sure to also take a probiotic when on the doxy. Take this preferably at bedtime at least a few hours away from any antibiotics.
We do encourage all new members to read ur "New to Lyme" start here thread at the top of the page.
Please always check for side effects and contradictions when using any abx/supplements/herbals as I am not an medical expert.
If you wish to look for a lyme literate Md you can do that at :
https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/or start a new post "seeking an llmd in your area'
Take care and I wish you the best of healing.
