.........................Regarding auto-immune there's growing evidence that the whole premise of your body attacking itself is not quite what it appears to be. What's in fact behind the phenomenon is pathogens that mimic certain body systems that the immune system mistakes them for. I posted an article not too long ago on this here. Interesting stuff.
When we're taking things out of context (the context of peoples whole illness story) its easy to not see the whole picture. If anyone fully dives into autoimmune info, its clear there are many reasons, its not always pathogens, but obviously can be. Pathogens/yeast overgrowth in the gut, yes,.... are a good starting point. Many pathogen-autoimmune articles are somewhat biased, ignoring gut health. A lot of autoimmune is food based, and or what modern food chemicals did to our digestive tract (Round Up).. This is why some autoimmune people completely stop it in its tracks once the offending foods or chemical are found.
Some people role there eyes on the whole food thing, (seen it here) they prob never had experience with food/gut issues. I have, a lot. The gut cant be ignored. Its where our immune system starts. That needs to heal first if its "off".After reading Clean Gut, there is no doubt food plays a major role in probably the majority of autoimmune processes..
For those unaware, leaky gut is the main culprit. Once the gut lining is compromised enough, it let's certain particles through that aren't supposed to get through. This could be anything, but most likely going to be something like certain types of grains at first. The immune system is alert
ed that there is an intruder amis, and attacks it. So, now every time you eat grain, the immune system has already identified it as a threat, so the troops are dispatched every time it's consumed.
I hope I explained that correctly.
