I have used both and at the same time. However the Alchornea, I use as part of the Buhner Bartonella protocol.
On page 89 in Buhner's babesia co infection book,
He says the primary antibabesial herbs he believes to be most effective are: Cryptolepis, Alchornea,Sida acuta, Bidens pilosa, and artemisinin.
He also states, that Scutellaria baicalesis(Chinese skullcap) could also be a primary one to use. Its a strong immune modulator.
I haven't come across anything specific that hits the air hunger in reading his book, but when I used the the full Babesia and Bart protocols my air hunger went away.
However , thankfully I did have only mild air hunger. It has only returned recently when I had used an ABX for a dental infection/work. When I had herxing air hunger was one of the symptoms.
Babesia can linger. Be sure to treat it for much longer than when your symptoms go away to be on the safe side.
Always use caution with any herbals. Do your own research and check for side effects and contradictions.
Hopefully others will be along soon with more insight into the air hunger issue.
Take care.
