Mount Kisco Lyme disease doctor sues blogger for $1M citing libel

A Mount Kisco physician who specializes in the treatment of Lyme disease is suing a blogger for $1 million for allegedly misrepresenting his disciplinary action for professional misconduct.

Dr. Daniel Cameron sued Jann Bellamy, a Tallahassee, Florida lawyer and activist for science-based standards in health care, Nov. 8 in federal court in White Plains.

Cameron claims that an article Bellamy wrote last year depicted him as a “predator who preys on Lyme disease patients for his own financial gain,” and that she falsely described his consent agreement with the New York state Department of Health’s Board for Professional Medical Conduct.

Bellamy replied by email today, “I have not been served with any lawsuit and cannot comment.”

Cameron has been practicing medicine in New York since 1985. He primarily treats patients with a history of Lyme disease or associated tick-borne diseases, such as Bartonella and Babesia.

He is active in the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society that has issued diagnosis and treatment guidelines for chronic Lyme disease.

Amazing that this still goes on to this day... That Doctors and people still contend that there is no such thing as Chronic Lyme Disease and just look at it as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), basically being psychosomatic.

Could be due to the complexities of lyme treatment where this ends up turning into a blame game. What I'm getting at is, there could be more lyme patients complaining that antibiotics didn't work for them, especially the patients that may have a tougher case like Babesia, Bartonella or just being undiagnosed for too long and the bacteria has dug in deep.

I'll be the first to admit that all LLMDs aren't created equal and that a lot of them treat with different drugs and protocols, where some LLMDs fail more than others, but you can't start blaming the LLMDs and ILADs who helped many progress with this disease.

Fact of the matter is, longterm antibiotic does help treat chronic lyme patients, even if it just resolves their inflammation and arthritic pain, but it may not cure them from fatigue or relapsing. Which a lot of these Doctors and people in society don't understand, so they end up pointing the finger at someone and saying there's severe side effects from longterm antibiotics, again I think some lyme patients are doing it now too. People are dieing from opioids that Doctors are handing out like candy, why not make a blog and write about that, instead of Lyme Disease, where the science isn't quite 100% there yet. But no way, that's blaming big pharma, majority of doctors and the medical establishment, we can't have that now can we? Exposing corruption and a medical system based on profit. lol

Fascinating on how many LLMDs take the blame these days, but the CDC and IDSA doctors like Wormser, Shapiro are probably on their golf course teeing up and basically untouchable... Maybe one day, wonder how that lawsuit is doing down in Texas, lol... By the way, I wonder if some of them still have their bodyguards...

Cancer treatment is hard on the body and people don’t always get cured - but it’s acceptable.

And there can be lasting side effects/damage . I know someone who has issues from the radiation she had for breast cancer.
She will have them as long as she lives.

It’s ridiculous what Lyme patients go through.

They can give someone minocycline for acne - for YEARS - for something cosmetic??!!
But oh not lyme patients. They shouldn’t take abx long term!!
Shame shame !

Well how about diagnosing and treating lyme sooner... quit denying it exists and treat the patient early on - not two years later when they have a laundry list of symptoms instead of a handful when they
first went to the Dr.

Fascinating isn't it... Not just cancer, but many other terminal diseases where the treatment is so toxic, like chemo and radiation, the drugs ends up killing you not the disease or infection...

What if there was a few million of patients that came down with resistant bacterial infection and the only way to treat it was with longterm antibiotics, but these longterm antbiotics wouldn't cure the bacterial infection but only keep the infection at bay and partially give their life back where they could function normally, nevertheless down the road this longterm antibiotic usage could result in bacteria evolving faster and creating deadly drug resistant bugs that could kill millions of human beings in the future... What would you do? And I'm not saying this could be exactly what's going on, but it could be... This is the main reasoning of scientists and doctors behind the misuse and overuse of antibiotics in modern day, but the one thing they won't tell you is, cancer is also evolving to chemo and radiation as well. Look up cancer persister cells... Same thing happens with cancer, where you kill of majority of cancer cell but only leave a few left behind, they then replicate and become more drug resistant. Also interesting when you think about it, because those drugs are more lethal and unsafe than antibiotics. Also goes back to why scientists, doctors and the medical establishment still demonize marijuana, but you never see anyone overdosing or dieing from it, do you, lol... Mind boggling, the loss of morals these days... Personally, I think money, greed, lobbyism and corporations are getting in the way of ethics these days, just a hunch!

But maybe the government and CDC looks at the human lives lost due to lyme as some sort of collateral damage... That's until there's millions of people getting sick, losing their lives and big name people like Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, and Daryl Hall start coming forward. It's quite interesting to me how 99% of these celebrities tread lightly on how long it took for them to get better with longterm antbiotics... I think the only two that have gotten deep about treatment is Ally Hillfiger and Yolanda Hadid... And I think both of them are the worst who got chastised in the public eye, but hey, that's just a personal opinion of mine... Yolanda is on a reality show, so that is the name of the game, lol, bash each other.

He closed his practice a few months ago - was being investigated and decided to close shop begire they removed his license to practice.
