Ok so I had an appt scheduled at the J. Clinic on January 25th. I had my transportation, hotel, and off of work all scheduled and ready to go. They called me today saying I needed to reschedule! Like what! I have everything already set...it’s not like I’m comin from 20 minutes away... I’m states away! They put me in for January 29 but I’m not even sure if that’s gonna work because I have young kids in school and ugh I’m just very frustrated and needed to vent

I’m wondering if is because of a medical reason with your NP?
But Can they not squeeze you in with a different NP?
Can’t they pay an hour of overtime to one of their other NP’s.?
(If it is due to med reasons with your current NP)

You should be given the reason - won’t you lose money on the reservations - flights and hotels?

All they said was that she will be out of the office that day. They didn’t seem to really care. Then when I asked if February is too late, they said well we have other patients that need to be scheduled in February...umm what?! I’m a patient too. I’m like really ticked off about this

No no - that’s not good enough.

You are experiencing the not-so-good side of the clinic.
What is she telling you to do then?

I made a fuss - when I was wanting to get in to see Dr J.

If I were you I’d ask to speak to her supervisor. And explain that they are the ones who cancelled your appt and they need to fix this... provide you with another one.

Yep I called today so we will see how long it takes for someone to call me back. I can totally understand why people get frustrated and leave the clinic. It’s crazy! I didn’t have a flight booked but I did have train tickets. I’m gonna see tomorrow if they will honor them for a different day... it’s a 4 hour train ride each way..like my whole day is shot traveling

If not ask the scheduler at the J clinic if they’re going to reimburse you for your costs as you can’t afford to pay for them twice.

No. I had an appt the 16th of January and they moved me back to the 21st

so i made an appt for January 29th... With the same NP. Im gonna take the train that morning and come back that same night... i just rebooked everything... If they cancel on me again, im done... im not going back... they need to realize that people have to rearrange their lives to go to them... and we lose money when we have to cancel stuff... its not right

aww bummer! my appt is at 12:15... then i catch the train at 3! maybe we can meet up at our next appts lol do you live by the clinic or do you sleep over? im 3 hours away so i either drive in with my husband or take the train.. this will be my first time doing the train... im bringing my bff for the ride.

I live about an hour away in Northern VA. I take the Metro -- hate driving there. I always spend the day in D.C. and take my 6-year-old to the Smithsonian, so I'll be around if you think you'll have some time after your appointment. We'll probably be on the same schedule now too, lol.

I really like her too.

No, I went to the lowest-cost local LLMD I could find for a few months and ended up much sicker. Switched to the clinic in October 2017 -- 14 months there now.

Yes, much better. There have been ups and downs ... last month was rough, but this month I'm feeling really pretty good and starting to let myself hope again. How about you?
