Ice pick headache

Does anyone else have this? Today is the first time I’ve had this pain behind my eye and temple and it is horrible. Only lasts for 1-3 seconds and then it goes away... the only change in anything has been 300mg of gabapentin 3x daily for the last week.. could that be causing it? Or is this a new Lyme symptom?

My pots is extremely minimal. Maybe 95% of the day it’s gone.. gabapentin has helped it even more. I am still only on doxy but I’m starting a natural protocol tomorrow while I wait to start my other ABX. I was told I’m expected to have bartonella..

Yes. Headaches in the eye area - had them most of my life. I believe it is from bartonella. For years, I managed mine with Goody’s headache powder and/or Mucinex, as I often had pain and pressure in the sinus area, too. Now I have headaches much less frequently and take Imitrex for migraines, which works for me.

Just be aware that OTC pain relievers can tax the liver. Also, there’s such a thing as rebound headaches that I did not know about until I started Imitrex. Basically, if you take anything for headaches, it can induce more headaches if it’s taken too frequently. Also, after I went completely fragrance free, it cut my headaches in half. Getting fragrance and other chemicals out of your house, car, clothes, hair, skin can help more than you think.
