Hello, I received my results today. I think I have ‘chronic’ Lyme disease... I’m really happy about this if it’s true. Finally a reason for the last 15 years!!! So I googled and found this website and started reading and then decided to join because it seemed so helpful and knowledgeable. I’ll post my results and hopefully one of you amazing people can confirm 🥰

Yes your test results do show you have lyme.

Hi thank you for the reply. I’ll post more after the festivities. Thanks for the confirmation. When I got my results I cried. Everything makes sense. Such a relief.

Welcome to the forum! That is fantastic! I totally understand the relief, took me a long time to finally figure out what was going on with my health after being misdiagnosed for 10 years with CFS.

Are you thinking of seeing an llmd? that's often the best option if you are able to. And there are lots of great resources out there like Stephen Buhner's website and books (herbal-based approaches that also have a lot of great info on the infections themselves). I also really like Dr Richard Horowitz's book How Can I Get Better?

That’s it. I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia ME, I have psoriasis lichen planus, pustular psoriasis, functional neurological disorder, a problem with right eye and blindness. Menieres, non epileptic seizures, costochondritus, Fowler’s syndrome, ibs, coeliac disease, Hashimotos disease, underactice thyroid gland. The list goes on. I couldn’t work out why I kept getting iller. I used to run, play sport, competitively as well. Work out at the gym. I was so healthy. But... I also used to work on a sheep farm, and live in Germany. I’ve pulled so many ticks off myself. Someone suggested Lyme, the pieces sort of fell into place... everyone knows this story because for lymies, it hits the mark. So when I had it confirmed today. My husband and I, well... I cried abd he just said, ‘we can start trying to get you better. Thank God’.

So I’m from Norfolk, UK. And yes a LLMD is a next step, approaching my own GP who is supportive as well. Researching/implementing Buhners herbal protocols too. And well... prayer too. I don’t expect to wake up tomorrow healed but by God I’m determined I will half the woman I used to be at least.

Crazy - that Doctors would give a person all those diagnoses and not think there's something causing most, if not all....just ridiculous.

I'm glad you have found out the real diagnosis....

Me too...I cried when I got my positive lyme test results....14 months for me...and that was torture - can't imagine 15 years...so sorry you've suffered all this time.

Wow, you've been through the ringer in regards to diagnoses and what you've gone thru! I can def understand crying with relief now that you have something concrete to work with. For so long I felt so lost, I had no idea how to "fix" or improve my health, it was very overwhelming and depressing. I was resigned that my quality of life would always be severely compromised.

The tick exposure certainly makes sense in regards to lyme/coinfections and your symptom manifestation. I believe my mom and I both were infected in either Belgium or Germany, I know Germany is a hotspot.

I'm excited for your healing journey!! glad to hear you are implementing Buhner and going to try and see an llmd. It can be a bit of a marathon, but there is nothing better than feeling we are finally on the right path to getting better. Slow and low is a good way to start treatment... your determination and persistence will be rewarded I'm sure!
