Hello,

For those not from UK or unaware, a broadcaster/presenter called Jeremy Vine runs a show on BBC Radio 2 - the most listened to radio station this side of the pond. Well today, he had writer James Delingpole on discussing Lyme as he suffers from it. My wife was listening to the radio today and it came on, and for those who are interested/can actually access it (hoping you can sign up for a BBC account outside of the UK), here is the link. It starts from 1.09.38, but by all means start form earlier if you want to listen to some whining about Prince Philip's car crash...

My wife says she felt really weird but happy/relieved hearing discussions on it on such a public platform (the illness is even lesser known/acknowledged as a legitimate illness in the UK). It's not a revelatory listen, but rather, affirming, and hopefully raises some awareness.

I listened to it...but was disappointed at the end when the lady who is in such rough shape mentioned she can't take abx because they won't do anything at her stage...and James agreed.
So it sounds like she's not treating...poor woman.

She should certainly try some abx - many people with long-term, advanced lyme do get better with abx. And if not abx...then herbal treatment... I wish that message would have been spoken. That poor woman.
Heck - I had close to 40 symptoms...and am down to less than 10 now...and sure I still feel crappy because a couple of them are bad ones...but I'm hopeful that the rest will go...no reason why they won't.

I missed this at the time (am UK based) but a friend messaged me about it. Hopefully it got a decent level of outreach - the more awareness that can be raised, the better.

I didn't see it at the time...but was able to view it. Give it a try.
