Let’s see.....you posted about this not long ago. I don’t remember if you were commenting on someone else’s post or if it was a post of your own. If you could find and bring it up or link it, that it would be helpful as I added a lot of info on my comments toward this list of tests you were going to get and these must be the results. My comments in that other post are helpful to your curiosity in this one and has related info on the cd57 connection since those are lymphocytes and related.

I also made several “ reach out” comments to others posts with low cd57 asking about low globulins as I see a connection there that few others do. Globulins are a protein class under the total protien and above the immunoglobulins which are a result. Low globulins mean low antibody immune cells which is exactly what you have going on do my hypothesis is accurate. I have the same as you do even though I no longer have any tick infection. I’m guessing you also have low cd57 and maybe lower total white blood cells and for sure low lymphocyte count total. You say negative and positive in your description- these are levels that fall into ranges not pos or neg results. Also, the younger somneone is the higher in range you should be. Older people then will naturally be a little lower in all immune cell tests. That’s how old people get very ill and sometimes die from something as simple as the flu.

My hypothesis on all of this relating to cured lymeis who still have low cd57 is their immune cell levels will be like yours are - they just never tested beyond the cd57 to know this. Just because someone says or thinks they are Lyme cured does not mean they really are back to normal, as in many cases, they are not "normal" again as far as immune strength measurement..

We need proper immune levels to defend cancer as we age. I wonder how many Lymies flat out die with cancer later on vs living through treatment. There is a a cancer drug that raises immune cells to help in cancer treatments. Lyme drs need to learn about this. Lyme and maybe even Bart turn off part of the immune cell reproductive system , altering its process some way. Getting a thymus x ray to see if thymus gland is ok is a good idea too. Thymus is where immune cells mature after leaving from “birth” in your bone marrow.

As you might know, of the four or five main class immunoglobulins, Type "G" is for protecting against viruses, bacteria, and fungi, infections.

When are you going to get IVIG? If you go this route please keep us posted on if this improves your lyme status and the values of any repeated tests well after the effects of the treatment. IVIG elevates immunoglobulins at most about 6-7 weeks for people born with a deficiency in its natural body production. It would be awesome for you and others learning if/when your own immunoglobulin production gets "kick-started" back to normal.

[Im taking and researching immune supplements and looking at protein issues at the moment. Dr has the wait and see approach to my immune test levels now that I have a similar base line of 8 months from different labs all averaging the similar results. And my insurance might not cover it, or at least I need history for them to start thinking about it. Its $15-20 K for ONE treatment session out of pocket if I pay, so I'm not doing that.]

Are you able to claim cost of LLMD appts even if you didn’t get a referral from your regular doc to see one?

I think I will just go ahead and claim my llmd’s appt costs plus travel expenses - and they can deny if it’s not valid.

I am taking 1 immune boosting multi ingredient supplement and was doing high dose iv vitamin C and had a record high white count recently (5.6)... Record high in probably 3.5 years. Been sick for 3 and treating for 2.5 years. Thanks.

Yes - the past few years I’ve been doing my husbands and mine - although I don’t have any income - I get to claim some of his (income splitting) and the rest he claims.

And yes I use turbo tax.
Last few years the med expenses weren’t high enough to warrant claiming so they’re deferrrd to this year - and I’m pretty sure there’s enough with the appt costs and travel.
Previous years I was able to get most of my LLND appt costs plus prescriptions covered through blue cross - but this year (2018 taxes) med expenses will be huge.

Unfortunately I got slack with keeping/filing my receipts for hotels and meals...

I’m thinking of having an accountant do them - or at least pay for an hour consult and ask her my list of questions.

In America you can claim supplements if they are "prescribed" by a doctor. I have been doing that for the past couple of years and it has yielded a huge difference in my tax return. Very very helpful. Maybe you can do the same in Canada...ehh?

I have not researched it as much as I need to.

From what I've read some of these elevate certain immune cells and some just enhance:
Jarrow IP6, NOW Immune renew Mushroom blend, Cats Claw, and Black Seed Oil (this also reduces tumors to apparently ) .

I'll look into the iv vit C.

BSO has been on my radar a few years for many things, anti-cancer included. There are mixed and contradictory reviews as to its use for immune, I'll find out using it. One thing important to me is it reduces tumors. My thyroid tumor is finally gone away, now I need my adrenal tumor (its big) to shrink.This with serra and natto should do something.

After four attempts to schedule time with the IVIG Neuro, and they still have not located my Fax'd medical records, they finally gave me an appointment for Nov 18, 2019. Of course I'm on a wait list, and they said I could call periodically to see if anything opens up sooner.

Either this guy is good at what he does, or 1/2 of the Lyme patients in New England are seeing him... 8*(

Almost a years is a l o n g wait.
I dont know the details of who is ordering what, but there are specific IVIG clinics around the country that primarily do the IVIG. Most Drs sub it out to a clinic that can work with them. If you could do this it would be a huge time saver.
