Anyone else tried Aperiomics testing here?

Hey everyone, I've tested positive for Lyme with Igenex and was having this trouble of burning after ejaculation and general burning in the bladder.

Suspected that these might be because of Lyme infections. Since culture testing might miss some bacteria, I decided to go for for universal PCR testing with this company called Aperiomics.
They take any sample (tissue, urine, swab etc.) and detect everything in it (all bacteria, viruses, fungi etc.) It's not an antibody based test but DNA sequencing based test.

I got my Urine tested in it.
Since I've gotten my results, I see no Borrelia in it and in fact nothing too pathogenic.

The thing to note is that I got a UTI shortly after Lyme and I'd never had a UTI before Lyme so I suspect Lyme might have something to do with it but looking at these test results looks like it might not be the direct infection from Lyme that did the UTI. It might be some kind of immune system related response which causes otherwise normal bacteria to increase and cause UTI.
Does anyone have any idea of this theory?

Yes but those are exceedingly unlikely. I forgot to mention that along with Urine I got my blood tested as well and no Borrelia or anything pathogenic was found in it.

The report that you get back will have 100s of bacteria (and any viruses etc. that they might find) in it which are part of your healthy condition along with anything else that might be pathogenic.

So even though it detected the most minute bacteria(100s of them) that were not showing up in my urine culture (my urine culture kept coming back clean), it didn't find borrelia or bart etc. Also, the second sample with blood showed the same pattern: no borrelia. This combined with the a single '+' on 23-25 band and 'Ind' on 41 band on IgM from IgeneX makes me think that its not borrelia directly that is causing symptoms. So even though there is no borrelia in my urine, it's somehow leading to inflammation through healthy flora or some other immune response reaction?

I should clarify. I was talking about my urinary related symptoms like burning after ejaculation and slight burning while urinating.
Normally, these are caused by some infectious bacterial presence in bladder which is detected in your urine. In my case, since I was positive for Lyme IgM I expected to see some borrelia in my urine results for it to be causing these urinary symptoms but since I didn't see any borrelia there, it makes me think that Lyme causes these urinary symptoms indirectly i.e. not directly through the presence of borrelia itself but through some immune system dysfunction which makes an infection out of some previous bacteria that your body was previously perfectly healthy with.

I also discussed these results with my LLMD and while he looked puzzled at one point, he said the borrelia could be present at other places like skin tissue, nerves etc and might be causing these symptoms indirectly from there.

It could be neurogenic bladder issues... meaning the nervous system is causing the bladder issues.
And lyme and CO’s are responsible.

Have you tried D-Mannose?
I recall it being mentioned on the forum before for bladder issues.

Have not? Would I be able to take it with Doxy, Rif and Herbal treatment?

I take a probiotic that has it in it. I took it when I was on abx. I’d guess it would be ok. It helps keep bacteria from sticking to bladder wall. I also like marshmallow root tea.

I’d say if it went away on abx it does seem like it would be infection. Mine flares on abx.
