Air hunger

I do not have a lot of experience with air hunger. But my doctor started me on a parasite remedy with artemisia in it, and it’s causing massive babesia die off. My babesia hasn’t been active, nor the bigger problem for quite a while. But it is stirred up this weekend.

What do I do to help the air hunger? I’ve been having almost constant air hunger attacks. I’m dizzy, lightheaded, and every time I move I start gasping for breath again. It’s very labored breathing. I tried going to urgent care, but they wouldn’t see me and told me to go to the emergency room. I think if I could have some oxygen it would help, but you know lymies can’t go to an ER. Anything I can do at home to save a $200 copay?

I have so many other herxing symptoms. Headache, nausea, body aches, chest pain, air hunger attacks, heart palpitations, spleen pain,
extreme fatigue, stomach pain, anxiety. I don’t know what to do. I did a coffee enema yesterday, and it kind of helped, but kind of made it worse. I had massive attacks after it. Please help.

Technically the ingredient was cina. Which I feel must be stronger than just artemisia. If was a homeopathic remedy, and I only took two drops. I took my pulse and o2 levels. Pulse is higher than usual and o2 is lower than usual. But still within an okay range. It’s just purely exhausting at this point and super uncomfortable. But I will live.

I am on LDN too though.

Natural History.
The unexpended flower-heads (commonly called "seeds") of several varieties of Artemisia maritima. Semen cine.
Flores cine.
Artemisia Cintra. Wormseed. N. O. Composite. Tincture.

Are you doing a lot of detox? Might want to explore MCAS, combo antihistamines helped with my babesia herxes.

Another thing to consider: lower dose or pulse dosing the artemisia/babesia treatments. That should help keep the herxes from getting too suffocating. Mine would go nuclear and the air hunger was absolutely mind-bendingly hellacious, gave me panic attacks. Sometimes I just had to take a break and lower the dose.

Higher dose l-theanine was also helpful for me.

saraeli, I went last night and got a pulse oximeter to assure myself the ER wasn't necessary. Sure enough, my o2 levels were at like 97%. haha. But dang it felt a lot lower than that. I am still having some "attacks" today, but I think it's improving. Something just doesn't feel right though. Like there's something more serious wrong. That's probably the babesia causing anxiety. Can't win for losing. I agree. I wish there was a lyme-friendly ER that would help you instead of belittle you.

sebreg, I did a coffee enema Saturday when it all started. But after that haven't been able to do much. I did activated charcoal and Welchol yesterday. I'm on some detoxing herbs as well. Still had a lot or organ pain yesterday though. I know I haven't been able to do enough detox. But interesting you said that about the antihistamines. I did take Vistaril several times yesterday hoping it would calm things down. It helped a little, but overall didn't do much. Which antihistamines did you take as a combo? I definitely had a few panic attacks yesterday from it. It's been intense. I'll have to try the l-theanine.
