This might sound like a strange post...
I had this disease for 6 months... lost 35 pounds.
But in term of appearance, it's really my face that took a toll... ha ha.
It honestly look like I've aged of about
10 years in 6 months. I don't know if it the extended ABX, the disease itself, the stress, the weight loss, or all those answers.
Anyways the point of this thread is not to rant, but rather to see if anyone experienced this, and if there was any tip or supplement that actually helped "looking" a bit less terrible.
Heard Lyme and Co. are pretty good at leeching your glycogen levels... maybe a supplement along these lines?

I think the stress of having this illness plus the collagen loss, muscle loss, weird skin changes has made me age quickly.
Prior to lyme I looked 10 years younger than I was.
Not anymore. I now look my age.

My suggestion is to ensure you're doing the following:
- Eat a health-promoting diet (avoid fad diets)
- Eating enough calories (use online calculators for your needs and content of food)
- Stop eating three (preferably four) hours before bed (assists in nightly fasting)
- Go to bed early and get enough sleep (hormone production, autophagy, repair, etc.)
- Drink enough water (obvious)
- Avoid harmful habits (smoking, drinking, etc.)
- If possible, do any exercise you can (weight-bearing and those that move lymph)
I believe this should give you a good foundation. Some may suggest supplementing with collagen/gelatin or drinking bone broth, but I don't believe either are proven.
Good luck,
Dude

A wound doesn't look so good until its healed either.
Dont forget to check your thyroid levels
Sleep or rest with eyes closed whenever possible.
