Hello all,
To put you in context (sorry for those who know my background),
I've been sick for almost a year now, and despite doing several things for detox, I still get abnormal labwork with elevated enzymes.
Prior to Lyme, my enzymes were ok. I've also always been healthy.
- First labwork AFTER Lyme was done 1 month after infection while on 200mg doxy BID. My ALT was in the 70~ (normal range 5-40)
- When I started treating with a real LLMD who did a combination of ABX, my ALT were fluctuating between 50 and 80.
- Things went out of control when I switched to a new protocole with Alinia: ALT went to 200. I had to stop all ABX
- That ABX break lasted 3 months during which my enzymes SLOWLY decreased down to 80 (they never got lower than that).
- Now that I'm back at 80, my LLMD had me restart a light protocole (mino + clarithromycin), and now my enzymes are being at 100 again.
I'm supposed to do lab work every 2 weeks at this point, and if it raise higher than that, I'll have to stop again.
I'm still pretty bummed about
all this.
My detox routine has been:
- Charcoal + Clay 2 hours before bed
- Probiotic at lunch and before bed
- Pekana BIG 3
- Lots of water
- Decaf Coffee (recently added)
- I had my first coffee ennema a few days before my last lab
I'm on a Ketogenic Diet; I do not cheat with food nor alcool.
Last thing: at one point during my 3 months off ABX, my enzymes raised gain: when I added Gluthatione capsules to my detox regimen. So I discontinued Gluthatione and things started dropping again.
I did a sonography last week and there no anormality: No fatty liver or anything
I know that I have Lyme and also bart because of symptoms (major feet/toes pain).
I know bart jump in the liver and may cause MILD liver enzymes (see horrowitz article online)
All this intro because I'm still feeling clueless, my LLMD suggest that I may have genetics issues making my detox not good. That there are genomicists that can evaluate and treat me for it.
I feel totally clueless about
this... (quite frankly I'm exausted of battling with enzymes on top of Lyme).
Apparently it's about
taking saliva and running analysis on it?
Do you think that this is a good approach? I'm so broke because of this, but I'm willing to pitch in more if it's worth it.
The list of specialist my LLMD gave me:
Toronto: Dr. Robyn Murphy Lifestyle & Personalized Genomics Consultant
US: Bob Miller, ND
- US: Shawn Bean
I never heard of any of them...
