Should I switch to antibiotics? Opinions please

Have you seen improvements with the herbal protocols? if you've plateaued, you might want to consider rotating into some other herbs to mix things up. I usually found that helpful, and Buhner has quite a comprehensive amount of herbs that he talks about in his books (and there are others beyond that as well). Given your responsibilities I think trying to exhaust the herbal options first would be best, can always circle back to abx down the line if you can't find a way to make more progress with the herbal armamentarium.

Yeah I guess I kind of thought I could skip a few and it would do the same job I used to take cats claw then stopped a while back, I will add that back in. I forgot to mention I take milk thistle and hawthorn. I used to take dan Shen but stopped that too a while back, no specific reason!

I added andrographis back in a few weeks ago, the rashes started before that. They look like bart streaks sometimes and other times it’s a cluster of red itchy bumps.

My doc prescribed me monolaurin and allimed which I added in a few weeks ago.

I will add the Buhner herbs back in and try to up my detox.

I was thinking of adding in another babs herb. Will try bidens.

I get cold sores so does that mean I can’t take arginine at all or can I not take it when I actually have a cold sore?

I think integrative approaches are best - Horowitz has great books filled with info.

My experience (almost 5 years down this road of treating) is that I made a solid 75% progress with abx and natural together. Lyme is a bacterial infection and in my science based mind, abx makes sense.

All that said - I do think a mix of both is so important. I’m only doing Cowden protocol now with the help of my LLMD.

I don’t think “blasting” is a way to go either. Our immune systems are compromised and adding all that extra on our adrenals, kidneys and liver isn’t healthy. Slow and steady wins the race. This is a journey that will take time.

Happy to give any additional advice. At the end of the day my intiution has been my best guide. I knew I needed a break from abx, but that doesn’t mean I won’t go back at some point.
