Gabapentin works for some with neuropathy. It helped me in the beginning of treatment to take the edge off and also help with sleep. What does your LLMD recommend? For herbals I recall folks saying good things about Lion's Mane and Chinese Cats Claw. Regular MDs may not be of much help. Maybe try these first.

Thanks for the replies. Our LLMD suggested we see someone for pain management when I asked about gabapentin. Not sure why he’s not comfortable prescribing it. I’ve ordered lions main. I’m concerned about pushing forward with treatment with this kind of neuropathy but she doesn’t do well with a long break in meds either. Hate having to see a regular dr but don’t have much choice since her Lyme dr won’t prescribe. Ugh

Yes, I’ve had nerve pain pretty much from the start - it’s localized (somewhat) in my left scapula region, left arm and hand.

Burning/searing and worrisome when it’s at its worst.

I generally have symptom free breaks for parts of the day - some for even most of the day.
Mine is in the area where it first all started... (when I first got symptoms)
I tried Gabapentin with no relief - but I was only willing to go so high with the dose.
I was recommended to try lyrica after gaba didn’t work - but so far I’ve declined.

Has mine got better? I think it’s changed - not sure it’s better yet..I’m hoping because it’s my oldest symptom that it is why it’s lingering - will just be the last to go.
(Hoping it’s not permanent damage)

Ask me on a good day and I’ll prob say it has gotten better.

Mine is connected to my CNS - if I get stressed about something it can trigger the nerve pain

Make sure she’s not being exposed to mold anywhere. Mold exposure can do a lot of harm producing the same inflammation symptoms as Lyme/co and can exacerbate immune responses (including herxes) and make Lyme treatment hard to tolerate.
