Thoughts on the flu vaccine for chronically sick people?

especially us with chronic lyme that have weak immune response, i'd say you should get the flu shots to get some extra protection and get the help that your wrecked immune system badly needs.

that being said, even with flu shot, you will get the protection against flu much slower than normal individuals, and this is unfortunately, not my personal opinion

mpost - I’ve never had the flu shot - and haven’t had the flu in msny years. (10?? I think) not even since lyme
Plus - was it last year’s it was not very effective?
Personally I would only do vaccines for diseases that have a high risk of death or serious harm anyway...

It just won't happen. Scientists need funding and that comes from organizations or the government and both have their own interests. Just like smoking and glyphosate don’t cause cancer, right? Sorry, I feel like it’s a big cover up. Not the first time and won’t be the last. But this ones a doozy. Can you imagine the mess the cdc would be in if they admitted that vaccines have the potential to cause autism, sids, allergies and other autoimmune problems? I don’t think they can admit it without collapsing. Deny, deny, deny. They’re mostly safe, but your kid was collateral damage. Not acceptable to me.

Honestly, for me, it’s more about common sense, intuition, and freedom. I don’t need a dozen scientific studies that are 100% agreed upon by the entire medical establishment to “prove” to me that something is safe or unsafe. If it’s questionable to me, I want freedom to choose without threat or persecution.

If vaccines are so safe, why do they not fully disclose to everyone receiving one every ingredient in the vaccine in plain English, what the ingredient does and why it is there, and how it was manufactured. Every chemical should be clearly defined not just listed under the proper name. If everyone had to read and fully understand what they are putting in their bodies, I’m pretty sure fewer people would get them, especially if they were given full freedom to choose or refuse.

I disagree vaping is dangerous and I think they're actually working with the tobacco industry to get rid of it. It's much better than smoking.

Like I said I don't like getting into this debate because no one wants to change their minds at this point. You stand where you stand.

I would highly recommend avoiding any vaccines. Especially for people who already have compromised bodies, like Lymies. It's better to catch the flu naturally and have your body fight it off than, get some man-made vaccine.

Nothing wrong with autism,, you live in TV fairyland where everyone thinks,, oh look the autism kid is in the cheer squad and having fun. Wow isn’t that great.

You have no idea what’s it’s like to raise a autistic kid. Either do I but my daughter is a Special Ed Teacher assigned to 2 kids autistic kids every day for the whole day. For 3 years I’ve listened to her talk about the kids. Yes they have their good days. But for every good day I’ve heard of 2 days of what can be described as a personal hell. We cannot even imagine what these kids go through. They.er sensitive to light , loud sounds,change of routine, unable to express or control their anger.

Getting a little angry at my response.. hmm sorry perhaps you lost out on the generic lottery in your ability to manage your emotions.

Oh and on vaccines, Again do what you want. Sign up for them all. But if you have a reaction and your in the hospital for a week like I was good luck in getting any doctor to say it was the vaccine,
