Ah ok I found the one you're referring to. How have you been doing on your current protocol? I guess mino isn't covered by insurance so I have to pay for it. All I know is to take it without food. So excited to start real treatment tomorrow finally lol.

I have made some improvements and my current protocol I’m taking abx for just 4 days per month.


Do not take the mino without food.
It is very harsh on the GI on empty stomach.
Don’t eat dairy with it though.

I do take my Rifabutin on empty stomach - and then eat about half hour later and then take the minocycline and Ceftin.

Really? Wow he made a point to say no food with it. Hmm.

It’s better absorbed without food but both mino and doxy are hard on the GI and I was told to take with food for that reason .
And it still bothered the bottom of my throat sometimes.

You don’t need to take it with a full meal - jusy take it with a few bites of food.

No dairy though.

Also drink a lot of water when you take it.

I don’t want to tell you to go against your Dr’s orders though...
