Or more specifically for babesia. I am taking crypto, I stopped the sida as I was getting rashes, they have calmed down significantly since stoping the sida not sure if it’s a coincidence.

I’ve been getting awful air hunger the last few days, what can I add in to target babesia? If I could only pick one thing?

Do you have one of those small portable oxygen bottles nearby? These things can save lives in case you ever happen to experience a really bad panic attack from the air hunger.

No I don’t. I don’t know if it’s a herx or if I’m not treating the infection well enough

How much crypto are you taking? When did you start it? When did the air hunger start?

I’m asking since you were trying to figure out if it’s a herx or you’re not doing enough.

For me, I don’t get air hunger unless I take something that treats babesia. Also, I can start something and think I’m doing fine with it and increase the dose only to get a snowballing herx around the 3 week mark.

Hey WBF, I have been taking crypto for a good 18 months however I’m up and down with the dosing.

I have recently been backing off the herbs Every now and then. Funnily enough the air hunger started as I decreased the dosage. But not sure if I should fight fire with fire or add something else in.

Crypto is all I take for babesia. It started with an uncomfortable feeling in my ribs. But the last 2 days the air hunger feels awful. I can’t even wear a bra. The fresh air helps a bit. I’m at work at the moment and the air is warm and stuffy and isn’t helping

Okay, I see. Sounds like you need to keep treating babesia. Crypto, sida acuta, artemisia, and bidens pilosa are the main herbs in Buhner’s babesia protocol. He also mentions CSA - crypto, sida, alchornea. You mentioned sida. Maybe take Sida with the crypto.

Sida can be hard for some people, so start low. At some point, Buhner stated whatever you’re using for babesia that sida acuta would work better. This is where I found that information:

Thanks so much WBF, I guess I need to get back on the sida. Maybe my rashes were not due to that, even if they were I could deal with them better than this!

Sida treats bartonella, too. Do you think the rashes could have been a bart herx?

Yeah I did consider that, I just didn’t know what to do as they were occurring almost daily. I read somewhere sida can cause that so decided to stop it, at the same time the rashes stopped.

Maybe it was a good thing and meant that I’m stirring the pot. Think I will restart it tonight.

Be careful. If you think it’s an allergic or adverse reaction, leave it out.

Mimosa pudica may be helpful, too. It’s for parasites but brought out babesia symptoms for me - morning depression and anxiety, slight nausea, head pressure, etc.

Thank you WBF, I took the sida this evening and sure as heck in about ten minutes itching all over both arms and legs. I’ve taken an antihistamine and it’s started to calm down now. I’m gutted if that’s an allergic reaction to the sida, especially as it’s supposed to work so well. Could it be a herx? That quickly?

Maybe I will try the mimosa, is that a tincture? I will google it I don’t know too much about it

That sounds like an allergic reaction. I wouldn’t take anymore.

The Mimosa pudica is in capsules. I get it from Microbe Formulas.

That is older information on Babesia treatment... Buhner now recommends Crypto, sida and bidens pilosa instead of alchornea cordifolia.
None the less...it's most likely a good protocol anyway.... and sida acuta is still recommended.
