Which herb for this purpose?

Hi, which herb is the quickest and most likely to "hit" lyme and cause a herx? And would that be a relatively reliable indicator of an infection? What about Bartonella? Thanks very much

Hard to say as Buhner combines different herbs - some are for for supporting/strengthening the immune system ... others have antimicrbial properties... others are to support/rebuild other systems (ie Hawthorne for the heart/cardio system.....) etc

For lyme - I’d say JK and cats claw are at the top - they’re in his core protocol - give them a try

For bart - maybe Houttuynia?

I am not sure if it would be a reliable indicator of infection, but in my experience:

Houttuynia for Bartonella
Sichuan Teasel (Herb Alchemist brand) for Lyme

Those herbs give me a herx-like reaction within a day or two after taking them.

Teasel is one I can only increase daily by like a drop at a time. Even though the bottle says 30-40 drops 2x daily, I had to start at 1 drop 3x daily.
