Salmonella and lyme

Does anyone know what to do in the case of having both of these? My Lyme is chronic. I'm extremely weak, shaky, and getting really hot. I also have a plane to catch at 5 AM tmrw and this just started to get worse! I see it getting pretty bad.

I am on IM rocephin..should I take it right now? I am fairly sure this is salmonella

ugh That sounds horrible.


You need to see a Dr. about the salmonella.... Can you get in to a walk-in clinic...if not an appt with your dr.?
Im not sure which antibiotics are prescribed for salmonella.
Maybe the Rocephin will cover it.


I would still take the lyme abx. (Rocephin) on schedule.

Definitely go to a clinic of some kind ASAP for suspected salmonella. It's contagious to others and can dehydrate you dangerously fast. Don't get on a plane! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thinking about this some more, why do you suspect salmonella? I'm assuming you have diarrhea? The weakness and shakiness can be from dehydration, or this could be an acute MCAS episode, or one of many stomach bugs. Have you been exposed to salmonella, as far as you know? Has it been going on for days?
