I know hardly anything about Lupus. I have a friend who is sick. She had tested positive for Lyme. Her symptoms began before the tests and tick she found.

Is it possible to have both? If so the treatment for lupus seem to be immune suppression.

The methotrexate did make her levels of Ana to go down.

Any insight?

I can't take how many ill people are grasping at straws and not being helped. Including us.

the immunosuppressant will temporarily alleviate the auto immune component but one must ask what are the wbc trying to get at .... a intercellular pathogen . and expect a "flare" because the pathogens will proliferate now her immune system is gone. sorry but if she chooses to continue to receive care from the rhuemys a fate of a early end like my cousin, will be far to soon to be of natural causes.
i highly suggest you look at her blood under 1000x and or do a dna connexions test as no doctors is needed asap!

Thankyou, once again bluelyme.

If you are still following, I'm not sure she officially needs a test as she has had three positives in the past. Her recent test by local dr. Says now neg( so of course people think that it's gone!) I think she knows it's there but feels helpless and caught up listening to drs.)

Testing to generate confidence lyme is driving problems would be good.

Hard part is trying to heal my self and having hard time with that, Then trying to pass info to others who have a hard time digesting. I meet so many people who don't realize what these ticks and bullsyes and symptoms will grow into.

Negative lyme tests aren’t valid - can’t be used.

Did she test negative after the immune suppressing drugs?

Yes I believe so. Maybe need LLMD in central pa.
