I am currently going through a lot of cleaning and washing up in order to remove mold spores as much as possible from my belongings/clothing. I threw away many things, but can't throw away everything.

I am using borax but it is unavailable in the UK (big sigh). I got some from ebay, £8 (about $10) for 500g bag (about 17oz if I am not mistaken). I went through all the bags I ordered pretty quickly and I feel I need indefinite amounts of this stuff.
It says on the bag pure sodium tetraborate decahydrate. The closest to that that I can get from a grocery store is "soda crystals" - sodium carbonate decahydrate - no boron in this.
Would this be efficient in removing mold spores (probably not)? Hopefully someone will know.

I feel very discouraged, as I am in a new home now and have been getting numb face and blurred vision from the toxicity from dealing with all the stuff during the move. It is SO hard to get rid of the spores, and none of my belongings have any musty smell at all, people please beware, just ditch absolutely everything you can. It's summer so I am keeping all the doors and windows opened to hopefully wave goodbye to as many spores and mycotoxins as possible.

I read conflicting info about the efficiency of vinegar. Yes, I am avoiding hydrogen peroxide so I don't stain the clothes.

I just found a website selling borax in the UK by larger quantities for a lesser price yaaay! I spent so much on these 500g bags... I am so happy, will order kilos! All of a sudden getting rid of the spores seems as a possibility and the world doesn't seems as a dark and desperate of a place ;)

Well, I called the company that sells borax, as they only sell it to businesses. It turns out borax is not widely available in the UK because it is relisted as "reprotoxic category 2".

Very nice. I've been cleaning with borax for days, I have inhaled it so much, often washed stuff with my bare hands. I was just planning to steam clean the floors in the entire house with this, and was ecstatic about this possibility.

I guess there's no way in the universe to get rid of mold and its spores, is there, sorry about the exaggeration.
