I am trying not to freak out but I have had it with being sick and this new symptom has me over the top. For the past 2 months I have been getting bumps on my neck. They do not go away unless I push out what is inside. When I squeeze them I hear a rip or breaking of the skin and there is a little nodule that pops out. It looks like it comes with a hair folical most times but sometimes instead of a hair folical it looks like a fuzzy from clothing. I have had acne on my face chest and back sporadically since treatment but this is different. I am currently taking just 100mg of minocycline a day until I build up to 200mg a day. I have been doing minocycline for about a week and a half so I know it's not the minocycline bringing it out. The only other treatment I have been doing is the UVLRx twice a month and I've been on A bart for about a year. Has anyone had these bumps or somthing like them? And if so, how did you treat it? Is it morgellons?

I was thinking Morgellons as I read through your post.

Bart treatment is supposed to take care of Morgellons.

Have you treated Bart with Rifampin/rifabutin?

If not - it goes with minocycline.

Thanks for ur quick reply girlie, it really means a lot to me. I have done rifampin in the past (for about a 6 month period)

Morgellons scars me because we know even less about that disease than the rest of them. Also its embarrassing going into public with these lessions on my neck.

Hi there,
I have the same "bumps" you are talking about on my forehead, since begginning ABX treatment.
Someone else I know have them on the upper back.

The Nurse Practitionner I saw at dr. J clinic in Washington DC mentioned that those "bumps" are common, that it is actually toxicity under our skin resulting in these bumps.

For the record, mine:
- Itch midly, but it get worse if I start scratching
- You can indeed pop them if you apply enough pression, a tiny bit of white stuff comes out
- their amount vary, things seems to be a bit better when I wash my scalp with an anti fungal shampoo, every day.

I personally don't think that this is morgellons.

Thanks Alxander- it's so difficult to tell what exactly is going on. I thought about the toxin aspect of it. I know our skin does a lot of detoxing, it's just weird how the type of acne keeps changing. Do you get a hair follicle or fuzzy from urs too?

And yes I sometime can get a hair follicule out of them too.
I don't know the science behind it. Maybe the toxin under our skin tend to congregate around hair folicules or something?

All I know is that the Nurse Practionner said there was nothing to do about it that she knew.
Try using Nizoral shampoo (2%) once a day, and leave the shampoo on the part of the body with these bumps for 5 minutes before rinsing. Do this for 2 weeks and if it's like me, you'll notice some improvement. smile

I hope the nurse is right. It’s possible, she doesn’t know about or believe in Morgellons.

head and neck that's interesting.
I had morgelllons-terrible itch on face and scalp.
Went away when I treated dental and parasite. You may consider getting a cavitat dental scan

I have these on the back of my neck and they never go away, except

Ivermectin Cow wash 1/4 tea spoon in a large bucket and wash it really good for me, keeps these away for a few weeks.. then they come back. It will make your skin look bad so don't use it directly on your face.

The cheap vicks vapor rub has kept them away also. When I did this, it apparently really knocked them down because I could feel sharp pain when it was "dying" and had some kind of 15 minute herx. The pain was all the way up to my head for about one second, on both sides. Whatever this is, its an infection around the skull possibly the blood brain barrier -- which would explain why so many things that aren't suppose to pass the blood brain barrier do with me, and why I stopped taking ivermectin orally and only use the wash every 2-3 weeks. But I haven't done that in a few months and switched to the vicks vapor rub

triple antibiotic cream also knocks them down in size a bit.

also try not to pop them, that's your immune system trying to isolate poisons. You notice they aren't pimples or they are under the skin like really deep.

The reason I personally strongly believe than these are related to abx and NOT morgellons:

2 years ago before contracting Lyme, I had to treat a Strep Throat with 2 weeks of ABX:
Those small bumps started to appear on the front of my head.

Whenever I stop antibiotics for more than a month, I notice that they decrease in number.

For these reason, I believe that they are either
A) As the nurse said, related to a high toxic environment in the body,
or B) antibiotics destroy a bunch of good bacteria over/under our skin than leave room for the overgrowth of these things.

I wasnt taking any antibiotics when I started getting them though. I was doing UVLRx treatments though (which are suppose to kill pathogens) so I guess the bumps could still be from toxins.
