It seems to be fairly uncommon in the lyme community but a staple in the M.E. community. For me, all energy expenditure damages my brain. Psychosis, dementia, cognitive loss, confusion, spaciness, mental fatigue. Quite frankly it's inexplicable that energy expenditure can do that to a person's brain.

Im wondering if anyone here has found a cause. I have treated all three B's with no change in anything though Dr M claimed this was a mast cell issue. Quite frankly, after the damage I've sustained from walking a little bit in the beginning of this illness, expending energy scares the hell out of me. Still not sure if this is a result of tick bourne infections or not

I addressed mold over 4 yrs ago. Ive been loving between tents and my truck since 2015.

Well it feels as if this whole disease in in my brain so it makes sense that it would only effect my brain. Too much overexertion and the issues are permenant. It's insidious

For me it seems to be viral related. I am on and off anti-viral RX's. When they kick in or are attacking the correct virus- which is key- (I have at any one time EBV, HHV6, HHV7, cytomegalovirus, varicella), I have much more energy(able to walk about 20 minutes a day) and brain is definitely clearer, with ability to process things quicker, and better memory retention. There are many that think CFS/ME are viral related.

I too have MCAS and found nothing regarding that treats PEM(Post Exercise Malaise). I am so sorry. It is so frustrating. I am currently mostly bedbound so NO exercise. But have stopped RX anti-virals.

If you have head pressure but no pointy pain it is babs if you have head pressure and pain in forehead and or bridge of nose or back of neck and head it is Bart, Bart is hardest to kill out of brain.

Don - when I was on the persisters protocol (which included Rifabutin) not only did I get head pressure (like I did when on Babesia meds) - but I also had sore areas - to touch - on my head.
Is that Bart?
