After a few years trying a naturopath but feeling worse, I went back to an LLMD I had seen before about
3.5 hours from my house. I would have kept going to him but was coaching in college and traveling all the time, so tried to work with Lyme situation locally.
He ordered about
70 blood tests. Until results come back and can meet with him again, I will be starting on LDN (1.5), a low dose of monolaurin (I can get even more anxiety using it), a Bart blend herb mix (sida acuta, Japanese knotwewed and houttuynia), two new probiotics, Agrentyn 23 and continue with Bicillin shot once a week. I will slowly add in each one. A concern I have is sida acuta, which might add to existing renal problems I have.
Of the most interest to me is the LDN. I am also dealing with two possible autoimmune conditions - vitiligo and Grover's Disease. Vitiligo cause white patches on your body and Grover's is a mild rash, mainly on my back and abdomen. Since LDN is being used to boost immune system, I asked him if it will cause problems with the autoimmune conditions. He said he believes the infections with Lyme are causing the autoimmune problems and LDN can help build the immune system to fight the infections.
I have also read some researchers now believe that autoimmune conditions are caused by a dysfunctional or unbalanced immune system, and LDN can help balance that.
Has anyone had experience in that area and tried LDN? My first thought is Astroman.
