High A/G ratio

Hey everyone. Just had my labs done. Anyone familiar with a high A/G ratio? Mine is 2.4. Anything over 2.2 is considered high.

That’s not one of the tests I get done - now I’m thinking of asking for it.

It is a kidney and liver function test?

What is your “number” usually?

What is your GfR?

Thats the ratio of two different proteins. To arrive at that, those two were also measured individually. Globulin and Albumen(spelling). Globulin is the protein used in your immune system cells, (disclaimer:or something close to that).

Many people with low globulin have low WBC lymphocytes and low CD57. Check those, plenty of threads here on those to.

Usually it’s at like 1.7. I’ve never had an issue with this.

My wbc is at 5.7
Usually it’s at 4 so this is an improvement.

Lymphocytes are at 1.8. Range is .7 to 3.1

My gfr is at 80

I dunno what’s going on. I guess the clinic doesn’t see it as a problem as they haven’t contacted me about it

Mine was borderline high too. I can't remember but I think it was a liver thing. Are you using antibiotics?

"A/G ratio? Mine is 2.4. Anything over 2.2" - results like this can easily change, prob minimal concern considering your others are good.
