I am probably the most diet illiterate person on this forum, LOL!! How do you know if you’re in ketosis? I have no desire to be but sometimes worry that I am.
Because of MCAS and other sudden changes, I had to make significant dietary changes in the past 6 weeks. I am not perfect by any means but have pretty much cut out all carbs like bread, pasta, crackers, chips, etc. I eat eggs, avocado, fruit, vegetables, meat. No potatoes except sweet potato a couple of times. I have been eating yogurt or kefir off and on. Probably not a good idea for me as I have high lactic acid already.
I feel like I’m starving right now. I had a lot of bowel movements the past couple days and this morning and notice a lot of poorly digested food (sorry, TMI). I am sure I was already nutrient deprived and actually feel that way right now. I take digestive enzymes 3x day and have for over 3 years now but I have no idea if they do much good.
Georgia Hunter,
If you don’t mind sharing, I would love to know what you eat in a typical day.
