inflammation

talk to me about inflammation- where do you have it and what does it feel like? For me it is ( as I mention in my posts often!) in my abdomen/gut, chest, heart, diaphrgam. All these areas are tight and inflamed all the time.
Where is your tick-pathogen caused inflammation and what does it feel like?

The question about inflammation is a good one. I had never thought about it in terms of how it feels. Is it pain in hands, body, etc... or does it come in form of a fever or rash? I thought it covers all those situations.

Mine is all over my body, well I assume inside because I don't see any evidence of it outside, but I gain weight incredibly easily so I think it has to do with fluid leaking between blood vessels or something. Happens whenever I ingest something wrong, thanks a bunch MCAS. Also get joint pain and swelling sensation in my knees a lot

I have had the same type inflammation as you in the past (before diagnosis). Steroid inhalers at double dose for 4 weeks knocked it back about 85%. Steroids are not recommended for those with Lyme. A respiratory infection set mine off in April 2015. I had bronchitis, but at the same time, I developed ridiculous inflammation in my sinuses unlike any I ever had before, and I had decades of experience with sinus problems. My left ear also closed up from inflammation. Oral prednisone did little for the sinus or ear inflammation.

After 10 days, the inflammation moved into my chest cavity with symptoms similar to yours and remained there for 4 months until the steroid inhaler. Stayed at about 85% for about 1 month and it started coming back after I took Augmentin for an eyelid infection (first of many). After the Augmentin, I developed sudden onset IBS-C or recalcitrant constipation and saw my first evidence of ropeworm. Also was redirected by the lung PA to a gastro to be evaluated for reflux. Reflux tests were negative though I had many silent reflux symptoms. After months of dragging out xrays, reflux test and gallbladder scan and colonoscopy, the worthless gastro said I think you have IBS, try Miralax. I wanted to floor him.

That’s when I left conventional doctors and eventually found my way to a functional MD who diagnosed me with CIRS from exposure to water damaged buildings and tested me for Lyme/co.

I can’t tell you the specific cause of your symptoms or how to get rid of it. I hope you find help soon. I remember how frightening and miserable it was.

Have you had the sedimentation rate checked with any of your blood work? Not sure how others here feel about it, but I recently learned that it's a way to test for inflammation via blood... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythrocyte_sedimentation_rate

For me and how it feels? I think it's what causes all of our symptoms directly or indirectly. But I think I feel it directly in my chest area the most

I had the EST done and it showed nothing.... not sure why.
