Need LD doc in NW GA (and advice)

I am trying to find a doctor fluent in Lyme Disease who practices in NW Georgia or even Chattanooga, Tennessee. Metro Atlanta would be okay if I can't find anyone up here in the boonies.

I've had multiple positive tests for Lupus and Lyme disease, and have had symptoms (mostly for Lyme) for several years. My Rheumatologist assures me that it is impossible to get Lyme outside of New England. On the other hand, she has no idea what causes my weird symptoms (primarily debilitating arm pain and double vision). And I've had numerous tick bites over the years along with a bull's eye on my leg in 2016.

Appreciate any help you guys can offer, especially finding a doc.

I’m pressed for time but wanted to mention that the bullseye rash is DIAGNOSTIC for Lyme disease,
No other testing is needed for a dr to diagnose you.

I’m sorry you have gotten the run-around and not treated.

You will need to enable your email - if you haven’t already done so. Members can send you LLMD names that way - as we don’t post that info on the forum.

Take a look through the thread “ New to Lyme?... Start Here!” When you have some spare time.

Any doctor who believes or tells a patient “it’s not possible” to get Lyme (or any other infection) based on geographical location is a dangerous idiot with no business in the medical profession, IMO. Not only is that statement completely untrue, it also flies in the face of simple, God-given common sense. Sorry for the rant.

How did Dr.'s with those beliefs get their degree? They are either dumber than a bag of hammers....or they're involved in some kind of conspiracy.

I can not believe that nothing has changed - since I got sick in 2013.

I live in Marietta. The LLMD I see is near Nashville and was the closest one I could from here. Takes about 3.5 hours from where I live. If you are in NW Georgia, may be a little closer? Feel free to email me for more information.

Or they just simply dont care and just want to collect a paycheck at the end of the day.

Re: my rheumatologist's silly comment - I assumed she was spouting the party line from AMA or CDC. At first I kind of believed her, but since neither she nor any other dr I've seen can sort out my symptoms, I'm setting her opinion aside.

Very good person and looks at my entire situation. Just thought I'd mention him. He does not take insurance for appointment anymore, but blood tests and meds still can be. His prices aren't as crazy as some I've heard. But none are cheap.
