Well after approx two years treating lyme and Bart with an LLND (who I realized later couldn’t prescribe Mepron or Malarone due to ND’s restrictions) - and then a break - I self treated Babesia with Mepron for several months in 2017 - without checking my notes I think it was for 5 months.
Then in 2018 I went to the J clinic and treated it again - with double dose of Mepron for approx 5 months again - this time double dose Mepron plus Enula and Artemisinin.
After that I went on the Persister/bart protocol for about 6 months - Clindamycin and Cryptolepis was part of that which also treats Babs
Now I’m on the Mantenance protocol and there’s no Babesia meds/Herbs.
I’m thinking of adding Cryptolepis back in.
How did you tolerate the clindamycin? Was it particularly hard on the GI? And did you feel like you herxed with babesia on it after all that mepron?
=====================================================
I had no GI issues with the Clindamycin....no issues at all really. And, no don't think i had any babesia herxing with the clindamycin either.
FYI - the mepron gave me diarrhea .,..not all day...just after each dose...within 15 minutes usually.————————————
Ok thanks. As long as we’ve been at thins I’m always questioning what is what as far as symptoms. Especially with nervous system involvement. It all really looks the same... POTs, fatigue, nerve pain, brain fog etc... after almost a year of mepron with many herbals and some primaquine, and high dose mepron for at least 5 of those 12 months, my daughter still has night sweats. I’m worried she is still struggling with babesia. Although I’ve seen her have increased sweats on various antibiotics as well so who knows if sweats are just a symptom of hers for every bug or very stubborn babesia. So tired of chasing these infections
