@Girlie,
I don't know what to take with the minocycline or what infections it is supposed to hit. My worst symptoms seem to be from babesia and bartonella I think.
I know minocycline hits the brain pretty well and that is where my worst symptoms are. I really want to clear my head as much as I can. I'm taking disulfiram for as long as I can handle it and then I will probably take something to specifically hit babesia and then move on to bartonella.
Mino hits lyme and paired with another is good for bart.
Llmd’s often pair it with Rifampin or Rifabutin - or a quinolone (apparently very effective but several black box warnings)
Sometimes mino plus bactrim can help with bart - not sure if it’s enough in a longstanding chronic infection.
The Bart “guru” Dr Mozayeni likes Rifampin/Rifabutin plus Biaxin.I've got some Rifampin and Bactrim on the way and I've got some Mino in my cart ready to buy on ADC. I can't remember if they have Biaxin on ADC.
Why is it that Dr. J thinks targeting Babesia first is the way to go? What is his thinking behind it? I have a lot of time for him based on what I saw on Under Our Skin. It's making me want to stay with the Disulfiram based on the suggestion that it hits Babesia. Otherwise I'm going to try Alinia and Artemisinin together for it before I move on to Bart./////////////////////////////
Yes ADC has Biaxin
Re: Dr J and Babesia - I’m trying to remember if he said the reason why in his interview (video)... I’m thinking he just saw a correlation with treating Babs first and higher successes ?
I don’t think it’s based on studies - rather on results seen.
Have you seen the video?
