Black brownish tongue from Abx or Tea?

Hi there,

I just looked to the mirror and my tongue is sort of semi brown black, not a big part of the tongue but the middle of it. I have been drinking cistus tea, but never had this from it, altought i buyed another brand yesterday and started drinking it since then. I have been on abx also, doxy high dose, cefixime high dose and tindamax Dr. J 2 week protocol on and one off.

Should i be worried? Is this a fungus overgrowth or something like that? I am on the week off abx now.

I know the doxy can stain the teeth - maybe it can stain tongue too?

That’s not the Dr J in DC is if?
(He usually prescribes mino instead of doxy)

Wondering if someone got this symptom.

I refered Dr. J because it is the usuasl schedule he uses, he is not my doctor, his schedule is used by many llmd including mine.

I had a black-stained tongue for several months during treatment. I think it started when I was on the Buhner protocol, taking houttuynia, and it lasted for quite a while until itn finally went away several months or a year later.

I was told that a black-coated tongue is caused by a bacterial overgrowth—somehow the bacteria produce dark pigment. You might try probiotics, if you haven't already.

I didn't feel any bad effects other than that—but I did get a bunch of cavities around that time. I think the bacterial balance in my mouth was really off.

Thank you NotTime i really appreciate your answer, i will compensate with probiotics. I dont really feel any different from what i always feel, i think its really the flora unbalanced. Not necessary to stop antibiotics. But i Will ser out this goes.
