I've run into this same exact problem. I convinced myself that heavy metals, especially mercury, are a problem for me. I had issues as a child which predate any tickbite I knew about
(OCD, hyper activity, anxiety, exercise intolerance), and had a mouth full of mercury. Then I realized, I have the DOUBLE MTHFR mutation, maybe this (or another detox mutation) is why I'm vulnerable to amalgams and others arent? I spent some time hanging out in the Andy Cutler FB group, and they convinced me that mercury is my problem. Theyre kinda crazy and cultist, but I also met some pretty normal people in there who have had bad experiences. One got super sick after a flu shot, another after an unsafe amalgam removal. Some got worse when they tried to chelate, which means there's metal in them.
But the ACC guys convinced me I had to get my amalgams out, so I did on feb 5th 2020. Almost immediately after, I got very stomach sick. The next day I had a freak out of paranoia derealization and bad stomach aches. Then I felt good for a few days, but the past 2 weeks I've felt awful. Developed an allergic reaction to IVIG which I've never had before in the 7 months using it. Getting a rash on my feet, afraid its a connective tissue issue, waiting to hear from my rheumy. Its probably all coincidence, but in the back of my mind I worry because everything got worse after having those dang amalgams out.
There are certainly some people who are too sensitive to try to remove the metals. I'm afraid that I may fall into that group. Or maybe I dont have a metals issue and its all in my head. The only way to tell will be to try to chelate, which i may do at some point soon.
Anyway, I dont know about
titanium specifically. Join the ACC group on FB and ask, there are some pretty hard core chelaters in there.
I guess my point with my personal story is that I hear you and i feel for you. Its a concern, and w/ metals it really does seem to be one of those things where A.) You cannot find any definitive information and B.) there are very conflicting reports about
how to handle it. Some people swear by chelation, others swear it ruined their life. I literally dont know what to believe.
But one thing I can definitely tell you, if you still have the offending metal in your mouth, DO NOT try to chelate. That much I'm positive about
. You can use binders and liver detox and infrared sauna, but do not take a chelating agent like DMPS/ALA/DMSA/EDTA (('m not sure which one is use specificlaly for titanium). I would definitely join the any cutler facebook group and ask those guys about
titanium.
