Never feeling better after a herx ?

Hello ,
Just something that I was thinking about today - does anyone ever feel relief or good even after a herx .. I have had lyme since 2016 so have had a fair share of herxes - a herx for me never really has a start or an end - certain symptoms such as heart palps chest fluttering , head pressure head ache, body aches are heightened and I can always tell by my stools ( colour /texture)if it’s a herx but when it does ease off I never feel better just I’m not herxing anymore ... now I know I am getting better as I have improved dramatically and a lot of things have disappeared but it’s always very gradual - just wondering If anyone comes out of a herx and noticeably feels better or can pin point when a certain symptom resolves - just a curiosity question really hopefully I’m making sense !

Exactly how it is with me... my symptoms have reduced every so slowly over time and then one day they’re gone.

After a herx wears off- I go back to where I was before the herx.
I herxed last Saturday night -bad and I’m just about over it now.

Has anyone had used a Vitamin C IV and had success with it?

pld - Welcome to the forum! You will get more replies about vitamin C IVs if you create a separate post with a title about IV vitamin C. People who know about that topic might not be clicking on a thread about herxing. An LLMD I saw years ago recommended vitamin C IVs (three times per week, at his office, at $100 each) and insisted that they made a huge difference. Even mainstream sources like WebMD talk about the effectiveness of IV vitamin C in preventing side effects from chemotherapy! But I never tried it for financial reasons. I'd be curious to hear about this, too.

tashmash - I also just herx continuously when I take antimicrobial substances. People talk about 24 hours of "flu-like" symptoms and then they feel a little better? That is not ever my experience, not even close. Seems like that traditional herx would be so nice for gauging effectiveness, and it muse be so nice to know that feeling like death is going to pass so quickly....

Theres way to much emphasis on a "herx" I think in most cases your having a flare of whatever is causing your symptoms Lyme something else your chronically ill theres lots of crap going wrong to get you in the state your in.
