Hey RW, just getting on here to say I've had very similar experience. Can't remember how long ago it was, but I would get unusual deep numbness, sometimes in my gut, or my leg, or arms, and sometimes up my neck and scalp, which was scary because it is unusual to feel that your part of one's head deep in the scalp falling asleep. It seemed like an autonomic nerve disruption rather than caused by cutoff circulation from sleeping wrong on one side or pressure on a limb.
I have moderate/severe sleep apnea so my VPAP machine has improved my sleep quality. I'm guessing yoga might help.
Lately though it's been more tingling, and feeling mostly "off" and the tingling seems to happen where the numbness used to be. I guess it's the spirochetes doing their thing...as I've been listening to Buhner's Healing Lyme on audiobook, I understand some of the how and what of the parasites getting into tiny nerves, and every system of the body, not that I need to know, as it is morbid stuff, at least I know now.
Also, you mentioned collagen loss on other posts, Buhner talks a lot about collagen as very important to bB bacteriae.
