Spartan test for covid...

I just read that in Canada we are using a test similar to the Spartan test for covid.
It detects the DNA.

So wouldn’t that produce some false negatives - just like the pcr for lyme does?
Ie - if the particular sample tested didn’t have any DNA - it could be falsely negative?

In a few places, I have read that the PCR tests for COVID miss about one third of cases. It's hard to know any of this with certainty, and it might vary by test, but yes, I think we cannot assume these test to be entirely reliable.
