Disulfiram and Giardia

Does anyone know if Disulfiram kills of giardia found in water? My mother and I drank water from a water refill station at a small store in my town a couple of years ago for about 3 yrs, they don't test water there and we are wondering if it was contaminated with giardia and other bad bacteria etc. It had a bad taste also. We now drink water from Culligan and it tested monthly by an independent third-party water company, it tastes much much better. She was given Flagyl a couple of years ago and felt a lot better after. She will be starting DSF soon and are wondering if it will kill off giardia as she may have it as well as the Lyme. Thank you for all of your great advice.
