I had a test done ages ago by my Neurologist. My CK levels were 10 times higher than normal. He thought i might have some degenerative muscle issue that was most likely genetic. I freaked out since i was experiencing muscle twitching, wasting and weakness... I asked about relation to exercise etc. since i had worked out pretty heavily 3 days before. He said it would only show up for 48 hours and wouldn't be that elevated.
After doing my own extensive research, turns out CK levels could spike MASSIVELY up to 72 hours after strenuous exercise before slowly dropping naturally. I retested 3 times while making sure not to exercise too much before and all tests came back normal. So if you did heavy exercise that made your muscles sore even 4-5 days before i would retest before reading anything into the results. Also random side note, African american results are usually twice as high (or around there) because of increased muscle mass, not sure if that matters to you, but would be even less of a reason to worry if it does.
