Another summit I'm putting on your radar.... This one is focused on healing modalities that are backed by scientific research. They also prioritize modalities that are easily accessible, cheap or free, and risk-free. Pretty cool so far, having watched episode 1. This first episode is no longer available, but maybe someone will want to tune in for the others, and there's usually a replay at the end of these things.

This episode describes the scientific basis of yoga, mindfulness, EFT, adaptogenic herbs (particularly reishi and ashwagandha), and qi gong.
One idea I can't wait to try is an intervention for anxiety. You can trigger the parasympathetic nervous system by pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth, relaxing the gastroc muscle (back of calf), and doing deep, slow, diaphragmatic breathing. (Parasympathetic is the nervous system mode you should be using almost all the time, as opposed to the "fight or flight" sympathetic nervous system, in which many of us are stuck.)

So it is similar to 4-7-8 breathing.

Georgia I wanted ask you a question unrelated to this post but I am not sure how to do that. Can I PM you?

Anytime sdarrah. I get them all the time and when I don't know the answer, it allows me to research different aspects I've never seen before.
